Privacy policy

How information is used on the Arcnex Energy website. Updated September 18, 2026.

Information you provide

Newsletter signup stores your email address and signup date. Contact forms store your name, email, selected topic, and message so the team can review your inquiry. Administrator sign-in uses an email address and password, and sets a signed session cookie for the signed-in administrator only.

Traffic and sponsor measurement

Traffic is measured in two ways. This site measures it directly: for each page view it records the page address and title, how long the page was open, the referring website, an approximate country, and broad device, browser and operating system categories, without setting a tracking cookie. Sponsor impressions and clicks are recorded as counts. Separately, the site uses Google Analytics 4, a third-party service from Google that sets its own cookies in your browser and receives your IP address, the pages you view and technical details about your device. Google processes that information under its own privacy policy and may use it to provide and improve its services. No advertising network is used, and no information you type into a form on this site is sent to Google.

Opting out of Google Analytics

You can prevent Google Analytics from collecting your activity by installing Google’s official browser opt-out add-on, by blocking the domain googletagmanager.com in your browser or an extension, or by using your browser’s private browsing mode with cookies cleared afterwards. Blocking it does not affect your access to anything on this site. The site’s own cookieless measurement continues either way; it is described below and cannot identify you personally.

How visitors are counted

Visitors are counted using an identifier produced by hashing the current date together with a server secret, the request IP address and the browser user agent. Because the date forms part of that hash, the identifier changes every day, so a reader cannot be recognised or followed from one day to the next. The IP address itself is never written to the database. Country is taken from the hosting network where it provides one, and otherwise from the time zone your browser reports, which is approximate. A random identifier for your current browser tab is held in your browser’s session storage so pages viewed in one visit can be grouped together; it is deleted when you close the tab and is never sent anywhere else. Traffic records older than approximately thirteen months are deleted automatically.

Storage and access

Content and submitted details are stored using the hosting platform’s database and file storage. Administrative access is restricted. Newsletter signup builds a subscriber list; automated email delivery is not currently connected.

Your choices

Use the contact form to request access, correction, deletion, or removal from the subscriber list. Do not submit sensitive personal information. External sponsor destinations apply their own privacy policies.
